UPDATED: Families love Papersalt books

Here at Mom’s Choice Awards®, we’re dedicated to finding and promoting quality products for all kinds of families to use and enjoy.

Ironically enough, the company Papersalt™ shares almost the same motivation. The company made  family-oriented guide books their mission. As you’ll see, they pave the way in building quality content for families.

Building and nurturing your family is the hardest thing you’ll do. With so much media in front of us, we realize that simple, memorable, engaging content is extremely effective.

We couldn’t agree more! Enjoy this interview with the Papersalt™ team.

Papersalt books for families

MCA: Welcome to the Spotlight, team! We loved that quote from your About page. Can you expand on it for us?
Papersalt: We’re parents, too. We wanted to create a product that families could use on a regular basis to start conversations about topics like self-esteem, family values, health, manners, and other important lessons on becoming an adult.

The messages in Papersalt™ books are simple, memorable and resonate with kids when mom and dad’s advice is better understood in writing.

Families Coming Together: Meet Marina @ Papersalt

MCA: It’s easy to have an idea and goal for a product, but bringing it to life is a journey. What was Papersalt’s biggest challenge, and how was it overcome?
Papersalt books for familiesPapersalt: Our biggest challenge is always finalizing the content. We make several revisions on each of our products. Although there is a wide range of ideas we can include, we want to fill Papersalt™ books with just the right amount of information. We don’t want to lose the attention of our reader.

Papersalt™ books are unique because they are simple and to-the-point, which is why we try to cover important topics like family values and self-esteem in roughly fifty pages.

MCA: Making that “just right” decision must be hard … like parenting! What kind of response have you had from those who are using Papersalt’s products? It is what was hoped for?
Papersalt: We couldn’t have hoped for a better response. Based on the comments we receive via social media and blogger reviews, parents are relieved that products like ours exist because they provide families with a set of tools that make teaching important life lessons a little easier.

One of our favorite things to hear are comments similar to this one from our Facebook fan, Judith:

Some of the stuff in the Being a Girl book I have told her a million times and it goes in one ear and out the other.. but she reads it in the book and “it has to be true” in her words!

Things families stand for

MCA: That’s excellent! What do you consider your most important contribution in bringing these books to families?
Papersalt: Boiling rich information down to a simple, to the point, fun, and engaging format.

With all the distractions in today’s world, we believe it is effective to keep information easy to understand.

MCA: If developing this product has changed your life in any way, would you share that with our readers.
Papersalt: Yes. It has reminded us, as parents and relatives of kids, how important it is to set a good example. Taking time to share lessons learned, inspiring and making young people feel good about themselves definitely pays off.

Papersalt reference and study guide

MCA: It certainly does. Looking ahead six months to a year, what’s next for Papersalt™?
Papersalt: We hope to continue to produce new products. Just this month, we added four new products: a journal for boys called Stuff, Parent Coupons, our Being a Teenage Boy book and I Stand For – a book about values.

We are always brainstorming ideas as a team and reaching out to our audience through social media to see if there are any topics parents would like us to cover. With a slough of new products comes lots of promotion. Hopefully, families will start seeing Papersalt™ books in more places very soon.

MCA: We hope we’ll start seeing them around more, too! Thanks for stopping by to tell us about Papersalt™.
