From the Mailbox: Lots of Sweet News from Little Pickle Press

We subscribe to our honorees’ newsletters because it helps us keep up with them … and they’re always filled with great news. The LPP Insider is no exception …

So imagine our joy in learning that “our very own” Rana Diorio will be visiting The Balancing Act on June 14, 2011 to talk about “the importance and challenge of discussing meaningful topics with children.”

Rana is the founder of Little Pickle Press and a multi-award-winning children’s author. Her series What Does It Mean has garnered multiple awards from a myriad of organizations. In addition to Mom’s Choice Awards for each of the titles in the series, the books’ excellence has been recognized by the Moonbeam Children’s Book Awards, Teacher’s Choice Awards, and the Best Book Awards, as well as Indie Book, Nautilus, and Ben Franklin Awards programs.

Other LPP award-winning books include Sofia’s Dream by Land Wilson and Your Fantastic Elastic Brain by JoAnn Deak, PhD.

As Rana also points out in the newsletter, LPP books are going global and are being translated into Korean and Chinese. “Now THIS is what it means to be global.”

Congratulations Rana and the LPP family!
