Mary Garrity Slaby's time in the classroom has made one thing clear: kids want books with lots of action. As an author she wanted to create something that would keep teens reading, give them the adventure they seek, AND offer some educational value to. Her historical fiction series Meeting the MollyMaguires blends classic storytelling with fast-paced plots that engage readers of all ages. The first book, Call Me Kate, is set in the Civil War Era. She writes under the pen name of Molly Roe.
