Diane Bergeron of Raven Tree Press, the premier publisher of bilingual children’s picture books, recently sent us a note about yet another accolade for one of its books.
Already a Mom’s Choice Awards® winner (Gold – Bilingual Books) and a finalist National Best Book Awards (NBBA), Beautiful Moon / Bella Luna has just been selected as the featured January book for the Primary group of Read On Wisconsin!
Read On Wisconsin! is a statewide book club for students and book-lovers. It is sponsored by Wisconsin’s First Lady, Jessica Doyle. An advisory committee comprising teachers, librarians, and students from across Wisconsin select the books that are to be featured. In addition, visitors can go to the The Read On Wisconsin! There, they will learn more about the featured books and can also exchange ideas. For example, students can submit reviews or discuss books through an online web log. Teachers can review lesson plans and post comments about the books through the Teacher Resource page.
