It’s Not Who You Know …

… but how you connect with them.

Not so long ago, we all relied on the telephone, mail, and word-of-mouth to help us connect with other people. We would talk to someone who knew someone … and so on … in hopes that we could introduce ourselves and our product or idea. Inexpensive website hosting and an explosion of networking tools have catapulted in new directions in the last ten years. As we ourselves have admitted, it is not enough to have a website — you need a blog. It isn’t enough to just blog — you need a following.

Which brings us back to making connections. If you have ever spent any time exploring the Mom’s Choice Awards® website, then you probably noticed that we believe that connecting with people is very important. We continue to build and strengthen our relationship with our honorees for a lifetime, not just an awards cycle.

It is why we call them alumni. They have invested their creative, artistic, and business energies in creating family-friendly products. In turn, we invest our creative, artistic, and business energies in helping them achieve their goals. It’s about making connections.

At the same time we are watching our Rolodex disappear under a mound of dust, we are networking more than ever. It didn’t take long for people to discover that social networking tools also have value as professional networking portals. That’s why, over the next several weeks – particularly as we get closer to BookExpo America – you will see us begin to hear more from us.

Whether you are an MCA alumn or someone who wants to learn more about what we do, we would like to welcome you into our network. Here’s where you can connect with us …
