Foreword magazine just announced that Kate Buckley’s new novel Choices is finalist in young adult fiction category for the Book of the Year Award. Kate is a 2010 Mom’s Choice Awards® Gold Recipient in the Young Adult Books, Fiction category.

The Book of the Year Awards program is an annual contest designed to “discover distinctive books from independent publshers across a number of genres.” A Panel of librarians and booksellers, selected from Foreword magazine’s readership, will select the winners. In addition to Gold, Silver, and Bronze winners, there is an Editor’s Choice prize for Fiction and Nonfiction. All winners will be announced on May 25, 2010, at this year’s BookExpo America conference in New York, NY.

When you’re at BookExpo America, be sure to stop by the Mom’s Choice Awards® booth (#2370) to congratulate Kate! On Wednesday, May 26, 2010, Kate will be signing Choices from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
